The countdown to the East Coast Radio House + Garden Show has begun and as the anticipation builds, so does the list of all the A-List presenters, influencers, activities and workshops. The 40th show is set to be one to not miss with incredible showcases including the new Garden + Lifestyle Theatre.
“Due to COVID-19 and our two-year hiatus from having the show, we are coming back with a bang this year with all the creativity we had stored up. For our 40th anniversary we wanted to bring in family as a big focus by making sure there was something for everyone and anyone, no matter how young or old, or your gender – we wanted to make our offering all inclusive,” says Cairey Baxter-Bruce, East Coast Radio House + Garden Show Director.
Within the popular Garden + Lifestyle Theatre there will be Slime workshops by Skyla showcasing her products and a children’s mosaic workshop by Peta Salmon. Other drawcards for this year in the Garden + Lifestyle Theatre includes the likes of renowned health coach – Mama Wanda, The Beautiful Mess with Jane and Jess, and the ever popular green-finger guru – Tanya Visser.
Tanya will have showgoers captivated by her workshops on gardening in containers, plant combinations, managing pets and plants, and finding the right tools for the job. “I am so thrilled that the East Coast House + Garden show is back, and I am looking forward to spending time with the visitors at my talks in the Garden + Lifestyle Theatre. After such a long absence of this wonderful show, I am eager to share my greenspiration with the rest of KZN, so look out for my talks at this year’s East Coast Radio House + Garden show”, says Tanya Visser.
With seating 30 – 40 guests, the Theatre will be setup in the popular outdoor area in a prominent location for all visitors to see.
When asked about her involvement in this year’s East Coast Radio House + Garden Show, Jane Linley-Thomas says, “I am so looking forward to the show this year, what a joy to be back – a real highlight of the year! I will be presenting in the lifestyle arena alongside my dear friends Paul Bushell and Jess Basson. It’s going to be a happy, connected time of inspiration and great conversation”, says Jane Linley-Thomas.
For anyone passionate about reading or aspiring to become a writer will not want to miss the sessions being delivered by hit author, Terry Angelos, about how she wrote her best-selling memoir – White Trash – and the art to guided journaling by ‘Finding Truth and Hope through courageous vulnerability’.
Apart from well-known personalities and outdoor experts sharing their pearls of knowledge, the East Coast Radio House + Garden Show has got an exciting line-up for the Garden + Lifestyle Theatre that includes book readings and signings, talks about Fungi and the importance of it in our ecosystems, as well as learning how to get organised with Nadia Jonker from Organised & Co. “We are looking forward to having great workshops and presentations for our visitors to enjoy, and to kick it all off on the opening day of the show we’ll be having a ‘Afternoon with the girls’ event sponsored by Bon Courage from 1pm to 4pm! We are also sweetening the deal – with every R100 ticket purchased online, you will receive a voucher for a slice of cake to redeem at any Chateau Gateaux Store. Ts & C’s apply,” adds Baxter-Bruce.
With all the new faces and experiences, there is also a host of show favourites that will be returning – including the Home Grown Design Fair, Foodie Fair, Hirsch’s excellent show deals, plus curated design features to look forward to.
